- Executing script c:\internet\winsock\login.cmd. Type <esc> to abort
- SLIP DISABLED
- ATZ
- OK
- ATDT ###-####
- NO CARRIER
- ----
-
- First of all, thank you everyone for all your help... I got the address
- problem fixed... but now, all of the sudden, I cannot dial.
-
- I am using OS/2 {WIN/OS2} and for a day or so, everything worked fine, but
- now when I make it "autodial", it gets messed up. The modem "OKs" the ATZ
- command, but when ATDT ###-#### is issued, I get a "NO CARRIER"... is NO
- CARRIER even a valid response for ATDT???? You need to DIAL to get a darn
- carrier! Right?
-
- Anyhow, here is the oddest part.
-
- Under WINDOWS {plain old DOS boot} it works fine, but when I goto OS/2, it
- has a 50% "kill" ratio. As I said, when I do AUTO, it dies, but if I dial
- MANUALLY, it dials fine...
-
- Anyone?

- To be honest, I've switched to Cello now, instead of Mosaic 2a4 - it's just
- running quicker, and I never get into the Dreaded Thrashing Syndrome. Cello
- doesn't seem to need as much memory, which I can very easily believe.
